True Story - Living a Tough Life

this story is not about me, but about a guy whom i heard about, first hand, from my manager at my working place...

on the 5 July 2007, around 5 something, all the workers including me were all doing the settings, getting ready to open business.... while we're doing, a man approach our manager and then later settled down on a table. they started to communicate... not by mouth but by writing on the man's notepad... i was surprised... the guy looked really normal... with smart clothes and everything except the ability to talk and to hear.

they communicated quite a while and when he went back, our manager started telling us about this particular man.

it all started like this.... this man, he used to be a normal person... very normal. he's a Malaysian but his family migrated to New Zealand since he was young. so he completed his education from scratch in New Zealand... he used to be a fluent speaker but unfortunately one day, he was involved in an accident which broke his ear drum.... and from that day onwards, he totally lost his ability to speak. imagine that... for a person who can talk so well but one day, he found that he couldn't speak for the rest of his life.

a few years back, the whole family moved back to Malaysia. this was in fact a bad thing for him cuz he was raised in New Zealand, he had to start making friends all over again... and this is really hard for a person who is totally speechless...his social life was terrible.

well, this guy likes to bake a lot so he took some kind of cookery course and from there he met my manager. he was the student of my manager. according to her, this man can bake really well. despite being handicapped, he tried to find job in bakeries but failed most of the time. the reason the employers din want to employ him was because he couldn't hear the baking machines, which was an important part if u work in a bakery.

but finally he found a job in a bakery (dunno which bakery). but it's still not good for him... the workers there teased him a lot (ya larrr.. that's the stupid attitude of Malaysians)... this man couldn't do much with his disability so he always kept silent. sometimes when it got worse, he wanted to shout but couldn't so all he could do was just sigh... imagine that???

(that's why i seldom show my anger in front of others... always kept myself cool and happy... and i really hate people who always showed their anger in front of others ...and those who kept on complaining their personal problems to others. just keep it to urself.... see some people can't even do that but just bear with them). there are more people out there who suffer more. (btw is it bear or bare??? i'm confused...)

luckily this man met my manager. so whenever he has problem he would approach her and then they would discuss, like what they did that day.

Dear Readers,

SO... if u can see, hear and talk normally.... please feel grateful and appreciate them.... consider urself lucky and never rewind back to the past especially the BAD ones.... u see, this guy used to be a normal guy... how he wished if he could go back to the past but of course it's impossible. if u think u have a bad past, just forget them and look forward to the future.... let's just FOCUS on our present and future

And one more thing... NEVER EVER TEASE THOSE UNLUCKY PEOPLE. if we think we cannot help, just let them do whatever they can... but NEVER TEASE THEM!!! cuz we never know what might happen to us one day...

  2. You're correct. Bear.

Pity that fellow. He must stay strong in order to life well. May God bless him.

Not everyone is as "cool" as u. There are times that people have to blow it out to feel better. It's normal. Bt it shud be moderate too. =)
